Easter Scrapping part 2

Hi there

Easter Sunday saw me completing another page for my sister's xmas album present. Yippee!!!! I might actually get this present made on time!!!

It is pretty much a straight copy of some clever lady's layout, (sorry cannot remember who and where I found it).  I used the papers and goodies given to us out at Raincliff for the 1.5 hour layout challenge, which I didn't bother to enter as I know my limitations and there is no way I could complete a page that quickly, even with a cool layout to follow!!!  Tania is it tooo late to enter now???? :)

The papers matched perfectly with the photo I had of Christina and her friend Jackie and to my surprise I actually found some flowers that matched perfectly as well.

Here are some pic's.......
I used my new Martha Stewart Deep Edger Punch Around the Page purchased from Embellish It, it is sooo cool!!!

Some close ups.......
The title "Laugh" is on Dusty Attic "Vintage Nameplate" painted with "Pearlescent Watercolours" these watercolours are sooo cool, they have a really nice metallic shimmer to them and for just $20 you get 21 colours!!!! These are also available from Embellish It.

more pic's......

I also machine stiched around the edge of the paper, the stitch reminds of smocking, the beaded flower was from my stash. The bird is a Rub-on from the Warehouse Stationery range Grace Taylor.

The flowers are a mixture of Prima and some cheap ones from Warehouse Stationery (not good working right beside a Warehouse Stationery store!)
I thought the rub-on was very applicable for the photo since they are both laughing so hard.

The bird cage came with the 1.5 hour challenge kit, I think it is one of Tim Holtz's Alteration Dies, it also has a bird that goes with it but I decided that was too hard to colour and so cheated using the rub on much easier!!!.  The brown lace was also in the kit.

I am really please with how this layout turned out and is more me with lots of stuff on it, I find it hard to have blank parts on layouts and cards for that matter.

Well best get going and organise myself for scrapping tonight, yippee!!!

Thanks  for stopping by
Cheers
Joanne

  3. Your layout is absolutely gorgeous - bet it took longer than 1.5 hours though. Love it all - You would have to be pleased with it.
