2 More Non Fussy Cards!!!

Hi there
Since my previous card was soooo easy and quick to make I thought I would make another two up as I had the images already coloured waiting to go.

So here are my next two versions of my non fussy card.......

This card is using Bo Bunny's Midnight Frost paper, the solid blue squares have twinklets around the outside edges as does the picture and the dusty attic snowflake.

This card is made using the Kaiser Lilac Avenue Collection papers, Wild Orchid Flowers and Hat Pins.

Some close ups.......

The gorgeous Dusty Attic Snowflake painted then covered in twinklets.

Close up of the Wild Orchid Flowers.

The insides.......

and close ups of the insides.......

The large snowflake is made from using a Spellbinder snowflake die and covering it with twinklets.  The twinklets sparkle soooo much in the sun or under lights they are way cool!!!

It is hard to tell from this photo but this paper comes with the damask patterned already glittered up, sooo cool!

And the backs.......

I never used to cover the backs, but since I got my stamp to go on the back's of the cards I feel it sort of needs it,  I added a few extra snowflake emblishments to the above (there were already snowflakes on the paper so I was just enhancing them lol).

This one has one of the gorgeous Cherry Lyn Doily dies framing my stamp.

I am amazed at how just changing the papers has made all three cards so very very different.  I love the simplicity of this card style.

I hope you have all had a great weekend and enjoyed the lovely sunny day today.

Cheers
Joanne

Non Fussy Card Challenge!!!

Hi there

The other weekend Rachel bet me that I couldn't make a "Non Fussy Card" so I took her up on that to prove I could, and here is what I achieved.......

This is based on a card I spotted on someone's blog (sorry cannot remember who's), which  I thought looked simple and straight forward enough for me to do quickly (just took a few hours which is really fast for me) and I thought was non fussy but apparently Rachel's and my definition of non fussy are quite different!!! :)

Some closeups......

The image is from Lily of the Valley Stamps and she is a delight to colour, I stickled her wings, tiera, and the flower centres.

The paper comes out of a Nic Howard Kit I never completed, they were a bit bright for me!!!  But I do like how the card came out in the end.  Lots of distressing the paper edges!!!! This is were all my time went!

The insides.......

and close ups......

The flowers are a  combination of Prima and Wild Orchid Crafts, I love it when different company's flowers match perfectly!

View of the back......

Sooooo, what do you think of my super fast non fussy card? You can leave me a comment and let me know if you think Rachel is right or me! In Rachel's words "what part of this card is non fussy?" my reply "the whole lot" rofl.

Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers

Rach's 40th Birthday Card

Hi there

I am finally making time to show you all the card I made for Rachel's 40th, Dianne kindly e-mailed these to me at the beginning of the week (thanks Dianne :) ).

So here it is.....

It is hard to see but I have used a rub-on on acetate which I cut with my new Magnolia Dream Tag die (love this one) because I didn't want to cover up the lovely design paper which is my all time favourite Bo Bunny Gabrielle.  The vine is part of a Prima one, I just cut a branch off as it would have been way too big.  The gorgeous metal butterflies are part of the Gabrielle range and I have added some Kaiser pearls to the middle of them.  The orangegy trim & string of pearls are from the Gabrielle range also and the brown velvet ribbon from my stash the flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts.

A close up of the acetate......

I have lots of pictures - as with the handbag cards there is soooo much more to show so here goes.......

The inside......
Close ups.......

I have used the gorgeous Magnolia "Tilda with Hawaian Flower" stamp and coloured her with distress inks.  I cut some strips with the Magnolia Doo Hickey "Tilda Lace Die" and then mitered the corners for the frame.  The little white frame around the 40 is a Chiswick Frame also from Magnolia.

The butterfly is from Dusty Attic and has been painted and then stickled heaps!!!

I wrote my message to Rach on the back on the tags.

The brown sticker and green background chipboard are from the Grabrielle range, I thought the saying was sooo cute and perfect for the occasion.

The back didn't need much doing to it as the paper is soooo nice on its own, so I just added my stamp framed in a spellbinder die.

I think Rachel enjoyed her birthday, she did get spoilt!!!  A group of us got together and took her to lunch at the Old Bank, and then later Rachel's Mum had organized a small surprise pot luck tea for her, which was really cool and YUMMY!!!!

So Rach  - Welcome to the Naughty Forties!!!!

Thanks to you all for stopping by and I hope you will give the hand bag cards a go they are soooo much fun to make.

Cheers

I have been busy, honest!!!!

The last two weeks I have been busy busy working on a secret squirrel's project.  Namely for someone turning 40! Although I had it finished well and truely before time (instead of being 6 months late) I kept adding to it most days.  I am pleased Rachel's birthday was yesterday and I was running out of room to put things on the card.

Now I would love to show you pic's of the card, but I went around to Dianne's place on Thursday night to take the photos (as Dianne as daylight bulbs in her craft room) and got there with no camera, had silly am I, so I used Dianne's camera and am just waiting for Dianne to have time to e-mail them to me.

I also made a non-fussy card as Rachel didn't think I could, it only took me a few hours which I was very happy with, again the photo's of this card are on Dianne's camera. :)

So in the mean time here is a baby girls card I made sometime last year I think using the lovely Prima Jack N Jill paper.......

I made about three of these cards, but all had slightly different flowers, the biggest flower in the bottom right corner is made out of the prima paper, the white flowers might be Prima and the rest are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The inside.....

and close ups.......

It is hard to see, but using stickles I followed the little butterfly lines to give it lots of sparkle!

I also cut some of the butterflies out from another sheet and layered them on top of the butterflies on the right hand side of the inside, you can sort of see them they also have little Kaiser pearls down their middle.

Thanks for stopping by

Birthday Card

Hi there

Well.... now that I have been left in peace and quiet as the rest of my household have gone to bed, I thought I would quickly post this birthday card I made for one of my oldest and dearest friend's (sorry Rach not for you, but keep dreaming hehe) birthday this Friday.

The layout is pretty much a straight copy from a card on the very talented Bev Rochester's blogsite, if you haven't already you should check out her cards they are absolutely stunning!!!

The gorgeous image and circular stamp are from Lily of the Valley and coloured with Distress Inks.  The large flower and its centre pebble are from prima while the small rosebuds, roses and lace are from Wild Orchid Crafts as is the red ribbon I think.

A few close ups of the front.......

The loveheart doily behind the picture is made from using a die (I think Marion D but not a 100% sure of that) and they are just gorgeous, check out the small one the inside cover and you will see what I mean.

the inside.......

The papers are from Kaiser's 6X6 paper pad English Rose.  I am not really a red person but Sarah (who I made card for is) and I really like the red contrast with the soft green paper.

Close ups of the inside.......

and the back.......

I finally got around to ordering a really cool stamp to place on the back of my cards from Whimsey Stamps, they have some fab designs, it even includes my blog address how cool is that!!!!
I think if you click on the picture it will enlarge for easier reading. :)

Well this time I had better go to bed or else I will be in big trouble as it is really really late now.

Goodnight, sweet dreams and I will catch you next time.

Cheers

Hand Bag Card

Hi there

The other Saturday night I went round to Rachel's to make a Hand Bag Card she found on the Whiff of Joy Tutorial site (please follow the cm measurements though as the inches give a smaller card frontage), to see how Rachel's turned out click here (its just under the rugby ball card).  Here is how mine turned out, I really like these cards, just something a little bit different......

I have used the Bo Bunny 6X6 Gabrielle pad, I think I have said it before but this would be my all time favourite range just love it to pieces!!!! And if you want to get your hands on some of this gorgeous stuff just give Tania a call, email or check out her webbsite here at Embellish It (I am not sure if the web site is live yet but you can get Tania's details and she will be glad to help you out).  The gorgeous butterfly is from prima as is the bling, the tag is made using a spellbinder's die and a rub-on from the "Gabrielle Card Making Kit" that I purchased from Embellish It also.

The inside.......

The bottom piece has a wee pocket for some tags or gift cards etc, such a cool idea!

The row of butterflies and the large single butterfly are Martha Stewart Punches.

The Stamped image is Magnolia's Hawaian Flower (I think) and has been coloured with Distress Inks.  The lace is from Wild Orchid Crafts as are the gorgeous flowers, the pink ribbon is from my stash, Pearls from Kaiser.

This wee stamp above is from one of the Lily of the Valley A5 sayings sheet, they are sooo cool and fit perfectly into the spellbinders circles.

Some more pics just because .......

The card is held together with the large Basic Grey Magnets, due to the paper being fairly thick the smaller magnets didn't quite hold it together.

Cute A!!!!!

Well I am being hounded to go to bed as it is getting late, so goodnight, thanks for stopping by and I hope you get the urge to try one of these cards.

Cheers
Joanne
