Yippee!!! I did it, card number 3 for the year and its not even tea time yet!!! Not quite sure how I managed to get a card made so quickly this weekend considering I didn't start it until 4ish on Sat afternoon and then Cristy and her fiance Cob (Jacob) arrived up from Mosgiel at tea time so that Cristy could run in the Hadlow to Harbour with Sean this morning.
So here is my card as proof, the very cute Lily of the Valley image and in colours soooo not me, I seem to be doing that alot lately, but it's all good. The paper is from the Basic Grey Marrakech 6X6 paper pad, large flower is Prima I think, the smaller flowers and pins are from Wild Orchids. I also used 3 items in my stash not yet used on any project, they being the Martha Stewart Infinity punch, Spellbinders square with loops and Marianne D round die with loops. I must make more of a point to use my punches and dies that haven't got onto any projects yet. I do enjoy collecting stuff almost as much as using it, in fact sometimes I like it too much to use, does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?????
So here is the front of my card, I showed Cristy a picture of the card I was looking at for inspiration and she said it was nothing like it, and she was right, so I could almost call this an original which would make a first :)
a close up .......
the inside, which had me up til 1.00am this morning trying to figure out .......
In between finishing this card today I drove Sean and Cristy to the start line for the Hadlow to Harbour 10km fun run (not sure why it's called a fun run as it doesn't sound like much fun to me) which started at 9.30am, this is them nearing the finish line at approx 10.37am .......
They even managed still to be smiling after running 10km's I am very impressed :)!!!!
and with the finish line in sight .......
(not sure if you can actually see the "Finish Line" sign but its the white bit on the left of the brown roof)
and all finished with a time of 1 hour 8 mins, well done to them I say .......
Well that's all from me, hope you have had a great weekend, it comes and goes sooooo fast.
Cheers
Joanne
